Friday, 14th July.
I'll keep this short. Overnight it was so windy I thought
the tent was going to blow away, taking me with it. When I woke
up in the morning the weather was ordinary, to be generous.
Walking through the wind and rain doesn't sound like much fun, so
I went back to London.
But I will tell you about something that happened earlier in
the week. I was at an internet cafe, trawling through the AFL
website, when I saw an article saying that Sav Rocca's career
at Collingwood might be over. Say it ain't so! As long as he's
there they're not going to win anything but wooden spoons.
I was reading the article intently, and the bloke sitting next to
me says "Are you a Collingwood supporter?" Hell no, I said. I just
like to see bad things happen to them. "Collingwood are all that is
evil," I said. "Who do you support?" he asked. Bluebaggers, I
replied. He said something about the pot calling the kettle black.
Bloody Collingwood supporters are everywhere.
